PetProov offers a breakthrough in the pet transaction industry by verifying the identities of breeders, buyers, and adopters. With a focus on building trust within the community, PetProov uses a sophisticated identity verification process to assess and display risk scores for each party, ensuring that all users are who they claim to be.
PetProov approached us with a dual challenge: • User Experience Challenge: Creating a seamless onboarding process for buyers/adopters and breeders while organizing a dashboard to manage multiple concurrent pet transactions. • Technical Challenge: Calculating risk scores based on identity verification data provided by Onfido, ensuring accuracy and reliability in risk assessment.
As PetProov’s trusted partner, we immersed ourselves in their product vision, working collaboratively to define the core user journeys. Our senior experts and the client’s team worked hand-in-hand to improve the user experience iteratively, ensuring the app served all parties involved in pet transactions smoothly and transparently. Leveraging our long-term partnership mindset, we worked closely with Onfido to map out the verification process, ensuring transparency and accountability in identifying potential scam attempts.
To deliver a professional and transparent solution, we built PetProov’s backend using Firebase. This allows us to securely manage user data and seamlessly handle the complex verification data provided by Onfido. Firebase was a strategic choice, aligning with our goal to keep the system lightweight and mobile-friendly and support real-time notifications and communications.
For the mobile application, we utilized Expo, a React Native framework, which enabled us to develop efficiently for both iOS and Android platforms. Expo’s capabilities allowed us to integrate native features, simplifying the development process while maintaining a high standard of performance and usability. Our backend solution also facilitated the core business logic of calculating risk scores based on identity verifications provided by Onfido and RevenuCat - a financial data and payment provider we’ve integrated for this purpose.
Through our expert understanding of these technologies, we ensured that robust, real-time risk assessments backed every pet transaction on PetProov.
